Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar Recipe
2 1/4 cups of all purpose gluten free flour
3/4 cups brown sugar
3/4 cups sugar
2 sticks of room temperature butter
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp gluten free vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Add flour, baking soda and salt together, mix and put aside.
In separate container add: brown sugar, sugar, vanilla extract, eggs and room temperature butter. Mix and then combine with flour mixture. Add chocolate chips. If you like a more chocolaty cookie bar add more chocolate chips, add less chocolate chips for more of a cookie taste, and less of a chocolate taste.
Coat a glass 8″ x 11″ pan with Crisco (so the cookie bars don’t stick to the container.) Put bars in oven. Allow at least 20 minutes to cook. Bars will need less time if they are in a larger pan and the dough is spread thinner. Once the gluten free cookie dough is gold brown on top, take out and allow to cool. Stick a gluten free toothpick flag in them so others know these are your gluten free desserts!
Whether you eat these gluten free chocolate chip cookie bars by themselves or with ice cream, they are a delicious treat to add to your dessert recipe box.
