Gluten Free Turkey Recipe

This was one of the most simple, moist & flavorful turkey recipes I ever made & tasted.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsps onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp pepper
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 approx 14-pound turkey
  • Olive oil, for drizzling

Directions

Clean (remove giblets), dry turkey and place in a container with a handle.  Add a gluten free tag (they are oven safe) so others know about your gluten restrictions.

When you are ready to cook your gluten free turkey, preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and set oven rack to lowest position. Bring turkey to room temperature. Tie the legs together and tuck the wing tips under.  Drizzle the outside of the turkey with a few tablespoons of olive oil.  Add salt and pepper.

Roast the turkey about 3 hours, or until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh registers 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
